My grandma died when I was three. I don't have any memories of her, but I have seen some of the amazing art that she created during her lifetime. She was a gifted artist and painter. My dad got his love of art from her, and I got my love of art from him. He also loves to paint, and in his younger years, he loved working with clay. So I guess my love of art (and especially clay and 3-D or more crafty art forms) comes from my family. I'm still working on my “seven years of throwing clay on the wheel to become decent at it” as my dad once told me. I doubt my artwork will be published in a book like my grandma's was, but I hope that I can use the skills I am working on to inspire children just as my dad did through his 30 plus years of teaching.
